Here you'll find some of my favorite recipes.  I'll put up new recipes from time to time so check back occasionally.

HAM-IT-UP CRESCENTS (Appetizer)

1 Can refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls

4 teaspoons prepared mustard

4 thin slices of deli ham

1 cup shredded American or cheddar cheese (about 4 oz)

Separate dough into 4 triangles, firmly press perforations to seal

Place ham slices with mustard on the dough and sprinkle with cheese

Starting at shorter side, tightly roll up each rectangle pressing sides to seal

Coat rolls with sesame seeds

Cut each roll into 5 or 6 slices forming 20 to 25 total slices

Place on ungreased cookie sheets

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown

Immediately remove from sheet.  Serve warm 

RIVER WATER (Beverage)

8         Tea bags

1/2       cup frozen orange juice

1 1/2    cups sugar

3 or 4 springs of mint

1          cup lemon juice

 

Steep tea bags and mint in boiling water for about 15 minutes

Strain into a gallon container

Add remaining ingredients and enough water to make a gallon

Refridgerate

Stir each time before pouring over ice

CABBAGE PATCH STEW

1 LB Hamburger                                              1 can chili beans

1 onion, chopped                                             1 can red kidney beans

1 cup celery, chopped                                      1 cup chicken broth

1 bell pepper, diced                                          2 cups chopped cabbage

1 can tomatoes

Cook hamburger, onions, celery, and bell pepper together on low heat until meat is white

Add canned tomatoes, chili beans, and kidney beans to the hamburger mixture and bring to a boil

Add chicken broth and cabbage, salt & pepper to taste

Cook for 30 minutes
